Mr. Pearl is the firm’s senior corporations, securities and transactional
attorney, whose clients have included many Fortune 500 companies along
with start-up, high technology, health care, finance and real estate companies.
Mr. Pearl received his A.B. magna cum laude in Economics from the University
of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), his M.B.A. from the Haas School of
Business Administration, University of California at Berkeley, and his
juris doctor from the Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California
at Berkeley.
Formerly with Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison and Mayer, Brown & Platt,
Mr. Pearl now concentrates on the law of corporations and partnerships,
securities, corporate finance; venture capital; business transactions,
and real estate. Mr. Pearl’s clients are typically high growth entrepreneurial
companies, many of which seek a coordinated approach in solving legal,
business and finance problems.
Mr. Pearl has lectured for the State Bar of California and the Beverly
Hills Bar Association on such topics as the Low Income Housing Tax Credit
and Documenting and Closing Transactions to Avoid Litigation. Mr. Pearl
is a past member of the Los Angeles County and the Beverly Hills Bar Associations,
where is a past member of its Board of Governors and has chaired various
committees including the Resolutions Committee and the Lawyer Referral
and Information Service Committee. Mr. Pearl has been a delegate to the
Conference of Delegates of California Bar Associations, and currently
serves as Chief Financial Officer of Bruin Professionals, a professional
networking organization affiliated with the University of California at
Los Angeles.
